Southend Central is one of the latest railway stations to receive the extra secure FalcoLevel-Premium+ two-tier cycle parking system, providing commuters with up to 40 dedicated parking spaces located inside a purpose built cycle shelter design with double doors.
Based on the best selling FalcoLok cycle store, the hub is clad in hardwood slats with large lockable double doors for additional security. Forty cycle parking spaces have been installed utilising the UK’s most user-friendly two-tier cycle parking system.
Southend Central railway station is on the old London, Tilbury and Southend Railway line now C2C and is one of two primary stations serving the town of Southend-on-Sea and with an annual passenger usage exceeding 3m per year with growing cycle usage.
Southend Central is the latest of over 300 railway stations to receive Falco cycle parking systems over the past three years with other recent key projects including the UK’s largest cycle hub at Cambridge Station as well as a 600 space cycle park at Reading Station, the UK’s first series of community cycle hubs as part of the London Borough of Waltham Forest Mini Holland Programme and a bespoke series of cycle hubs for four Virgin Train railway stations.
