The latest active travel funding allocations provide local authorities with a valuable opportunity to plan, develop and deliver walking, wheeling and cycling infrastructure over the coming years. With allocations now set out across the 2026/27 to 2029/30 funding period, councils and combined authorities have greater visibility to bring forward schemes that support healthier, safer and more sustainable travel choices. For local authorities, this funding presents an opportunity not only to improve routes and public realm infrastructure, but also to invest in the supporting facilities that make active travel practical for everyday journeys. Secure and accessible cycle parking is a key part of this, helping residents, commuters, pupils and visitors feel confident choosing cycling as a reliable mode of transport. Falco works closely...

Public sector organisations looking to deliver cycle parking infrastructure can reduce the time and complexity of procurement by accessing Falco through the NHS Shared Business Services Public Sector Framework Agreement. This can help accelerate project timelines, reduce administrative burden and support the faster delivery of active travel facilities across public sector sites. Falco has been awarded the Cycle Parking and Infrastructure framework agreement by NHS Shared Business Services, covering the delivery, supply, installation, management and maintenance of cycle parking infrastructure and associated services. The framework includes everything from standard...
Falco is proud to celebrate the fantastic efforts of Netty Barlow, Finance Manager, and Ruby Owen, Finance Assistant, who took part in Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life Pretty Muddy 5k at Central Forest Park, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent on Sunday 26th July. This year’s fancy dress theme saw Netty dressed as Snow White, while Ruby took on the role of Grumpy — although judging by the smiles, laughter and fundraising total, there was very little to be grumpy about! The Pretty Muddy 5k saw participants climb, crawl and slide their way around a series of obstacles, all while raising vital funds...
Bike hangars have become one of the most recognisable forms of secure cycle parking across the UK, and in the right setting, they play a valuable role. In high-density urban areas, particularly where residents live in flats, terraces or shared accommodation with limited private storage, bike hangars provide a practical residential parking solution. They help local authorities create secure on-street cycle storage in areas where people may not have access to a garage, shed or private garden. However, when it comes to destination cycle parking, a different approach is often required. Residential Parking and Destination Parking Are Not the Same A successful cycle parking strategy should begin with one simple question: where is the cyclist going to use it? Residential cycle parking is designed for...

His achievement reflects not only personal determination, but also the generosity of family, friends, colleagues and supporters who helped him reach such an outstanding...
