Falco Continues with the Rollout of Secure Pay-As-You-Go Cycle Hangars for South Gloucestershire Council

Falco is pleased to continue its partnership with South Gloucestershire Council in delivering secure, pay-as-you-go app-operated cycle parking across the district. Following the successful launch of FalcoPod bike hangars earlier this year, additional units have now been installed at four new locations: Bank Road, Kings Chase, Page Road and Rock Street.

These new installations form part of the Council’s ongoing commitment to making everyday cycling more accessible, convenient, and secure for local residents. Each FalcoPod is equipped with the ParkMyBike smart locking system, allowing cyclists to reserve, unlock and pay for a parking space directly via the mobile app—creating a seamless and flexible cycling experience.

All cycle hangars are located at key public areas across the south west England Borough, including a leisure centre, bus station, car park and shopping centre, as well as connecting roads and street with high footfall.

The FalcoPod is a compact, weather-resistant cycle hangar designed to accommodate six bikes securely within a single unit, making it ideal for residential streets, urban centres, and transport hubs. With minimal footprint and robust steel construction, the FalcoPod provides reliable protection against theft and vandalism while promoting sustainable travel options in line with the Council’s wider active travel strategy.

The expansion across South Gloucestershire reinforces the growing demand for intelligent cycle parking solutions that cater to modern, on-the-go lifestyles. Whether commuting, shopping, or connecting to public transport, the ParkMyBike-enabled FalcoPods offer a practical and affordable solution to short- and long-term bike storage.
