Continuing with the roll-out of cycle parking infrastructure to NHS trusts across the UK and helping the NHS to reach their net zero goals, Falco has recently designed, manufactured, supplied and installed a series of cycle parking for South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundations Trust this June.
Located in Northallerton, North Yorkshire, the new facility provides secure cycle parking for up to 24 bikes and provides staff, patients and visitors with everything they might need in order to visit the hospital by bike.
Designed to accommodate up to 24 bicycles, the FalcoZan-180 shelter features traditional Sheffield stands for secure and familiar cycle parking, and is clad in FSC®-certified hardwood to deliver a warm, natural aesthetic that complements the hospital environment.
The use of responsibly sourced timber reinforces the Trust’s commitment to sustainability, while the robust steel structure of the FalcoZan-180 ensures long-term durability and minimal maintenance.
The installation was fully managed by Falco, offering a turnkey solution that enhances the hospital’s cycling infrastructure and supports greener travel choices across the NHS estate.
As with thousands of cycle parking schemes installed by Falco across the UK, the scheme here at NHS Friarage Hospital makes use of the traditional Sheffield Cycle Stand and the FalcoZan-180 cycle shelter, which when combined together, create the ultimate cycle park - providing cyclists to the hospital with high levels of cycle security, all in a spacious contemporary canopy design.
