Falco recently provided NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde with a trio of secure cycle parking facilities to three separate hospitals within the City of Glasgow, following the succession of a competitive tender process!
The installations took place at Glasgow Royal Infirmary on both Castle Street and Wishart street, Cowlairs Central Decontamination Unit on Finlas Street and the Royal Alexandra Hospital on Corsebar Road, providing visitors and patients with a number of secure cycle parking spaces. The cycle parking package consisted of our best selling FalcoQuarter cycle shelter, our stylish FalcoSail cycle shelter, the space saving FalcoVert-Pro cycle rack and the traditional Toaster cycle rack. Each hospital received the following facilities:
Glasgow Royal Infirmary – Castle Street
- 4m FalcoQuarter cycle shelter with enclosed front gate and five stand Toaster cycle rack to accommodate ten bikes.
Glasgow Royal Infirmary – Wishart Street
- A series of FalcoVert-Pro high density cycle racks to provide secure accommodation for up to thirty bikes.
Cowlairs Central Decontamination Unit
- A stylish 4m FalcoSail cycle shelter with five stand Toaster cycle rack to accommodate ten bikes.
Royal Alexandra Hospital
- A 4m FalcoQuarter cycle shelter with five stand Toaster cycle rack to accommodate ten bikes.
Moving forwards, the shelters are designed to be maintenance free providing minimal cost of ownership to the client (only occasional cleaning required) and additionally should there be any unforeseen damage, the modular nature of the structure means that replacing any damaged items is simple to undertake.
