Falco has recently manufactured, supplied and installed a series of 150 FalcoLevel two-tier cycle parking spaces for Oxford Parkway Station as part of Chiltern Railways' £130m Evergreen Three project.
The FalcoLevel provides Oxford Parkway Station with an innovative two-tier cycle rack that accommodates twice as many cycles compared to any other traditional cycle rack or stand.
Falco has manufactured and supplied the flagship FalcoLevel to over 400 railway stations throughout the UK including Hull Cycle Hub, Manchester’s Oxford Road Station, Ely Station, Irlam Station, Leamington Spa Station, London Euston, Bristol Parkway, Stoke-on-Trent, Harpenden, Chelmsford, Leeds and Derby Midland railway stations.
Evergreen is the name given by Chiltern Railways to the major infrastructure works that the company has committed to over the 20-year duration of its franchise to improve routes and services. This has been divided into three distinct phases, number three of which is the Department for Transport, Chiltern Railways and Network Rail agreement in January 2010 to a £250m upgrade of the Chiltern Main Line.
The construction of the new £130m station began in October 2014 and is the first new line between London and a major city since 1899.
