Case Studies
Falco recently manufactured, supplied and installed a bespoke wooden clad cycle store based on our popular FalcoLok design for Irlam Railway Station in Manchester.
Irlam Station in Greater Manchester has recently been the subject of a £2m revamp, bringing the station back to its former glory and preserving many of its original features. Irlam is the busiest unmanned station in Greater Manchester with in excess of 260,000 users each year.
The contemporary cycle store is manufactured from a combination of hardwood and polycarbonate to be sympathetic to the surrounding area and was re-modelled several times by Falco’s in house design team to ensure it met the clients budget.
The secure store was supplied with thirteen Sheffield stands to accommodate 26 bikes with internal LED lighting and a lockable door with cylinder lock and a self closing mechanism. The secure store was made complete with powder coated steelwork in RAL 9005 Jet Black.
Temporary short term external cycle parking was also provided next to the main entrance of the station.
Falco has been a family company with its own production site for over 70 years. Sustainability was in our DNA from the very beginning and this is reflected within our complete range of modular cycle parking and shelter products, all designed with full circularity in mind.
All products ranges are contemporary and durable, typical of a Falco product. Falco has been at the forefront of the cycle parking and street furniture market and has built up a renowned reputation for manufacturing products that exceed in both design and durability.
Falco’s operations have supported the Circular Economy for many years, simply manufacturing products with environmentally friendly products, that can last for decades and at the end of the product life can be 100% recycled and manufactured back into a brand new product.
