Falco manufactured, supplied and installed a series of 250 FalcoLevel two-tier cycle parking spaces to transform Ely Station into a hub for cyclists. The new facility, protected by CCTV coverage, is classed as Abellio’s CyclePark Plus facility which provides cyclists with secure cycle compounds protected by a secure fob access system.
The cycle parking is part of a £500k refurbishment of the station which also includes a new retail unit, customer toilets, a waiting room and customer service office.
Ely Station has an annual passenger usage of 1.9 million, served over three platforms and is managed by Train Operating Company, Abellio Greater Anglia.
FalcoLevel Two-Tier Cycle Parking Rack
The FalcoLevel is an ingenious two-tier cycle parking system designed to accomodate twice the number of bikes compared to any other traditional rack or stand. The FalcoLevel is increasingly used in the UK where space is often at a premium at railway stations, shopping centres, cycle hubs and private offices and commercial buildings.
