Falco continues with the roll-out of cycle parking infrastructure to Abellio ScotRail stations with the latest addition at Kintore Station, as part of a new £15m development to re-join the derelict station back into the Scottish Railway network after 56 years!
Two key products of the scheme are the tried and tested FalcoLevel-Premium+ two-tier cycle parking system and the EN 1090 FalcoRail cycle canopy, which have been used throughout the ScotRail network to give cyclists using the railway the same experience across the region’s stations. When combined together, the Falco facilities create the ultimate cycle park - providing cyclists with high levels of cycle security in a spacious contemporary canopy design.
As part of the new development, Falco installed a series of 48 spaces of the UK’s best-selling two-tier cycle rack, combined with 10m of the open and spacious FalcoRail cycle canopy, providing cycle-rail users to the new station with everything they might need as part of their daily commute. The new cycle parking infrastructure is located adjacent to the station bus stop for easy accessibility.
Kintore is only one of over 70 stations on the Abellio ScotRail franchise to receive Falco cycle parking infrastructure, with other recent installations at Dundee, Partick Interchange, Dyce, Perth, Girvan, Beauly, Prestwick, Partick Central and Blantyre Stations!
In addition, Kintore is only one of hundreds of key UK-wide stations to receive Falco cycle parking in recent months, with major installations also including a flagship cycle hub for Hull Paragon Interchange, over 146 stations as part of the Abellio West Midlands franchise and a series of stations for TransPennine Express including a bespoke cycle hub for Huddersfield Station.
