Falco took to the skies last week by completing the design, manufacture, supply and installation of over 680 cycle parking spaces with FalcoGamma cycle canopies at the Airbus Aerospace Park in Filton, for Airbus UK Ltd. Working on behalf of contractor Miller Construction, the new cycle parking facility, spread across two sites, is part of a £70 million pound state-of-the-art engineering and technology campus.
Falco was asked to design, manufacture and supply a total of 668 cycle parking spaces spread across two separate sites. The first site included 442 two-tier cycle parking spaces sheltered by 18 double-sided FalcoGamma cycle canopies. The second site consisted of 168 BREEAM compliant cycle parking spaces using traditional Toaster cycle racks and FalcoLite cycle shelters. The image attached shows the new cycle park providing secure accommodation for the campuses 2,500 employees.
As well as cycle shelters Falco is also discussing with the client to provide additional external site furniture and canopies for the state of the art campus.
Along with the Airbus Aerospace Park, Falco has also been working on a number of other key cycle parking projects including the recently opened Derby Midland Railway Station consisting of a bus, cycle and taxi shelters, along with manufacturing and installing of 1,000 mixed use cycle parking spaces to the UK’s largest CyclePoint at Chelmsford railway station.
