Falco was delighted to sponsor local Football club Leek Town for its home match on Saturday 2nd April, as they took on play-off chasing Bootle FC in the Northern Premier League Division One West league match at Harrison Park.
The match kicked off on a crisp spring Saturday afternoon and The Blues knew this would be a tough game as Bootle needed to win to keep any playoff hopes alive.
A crowd of 429 saw the Leek Town side bounce back after conceding an early Bootle goal and the Blues goals came from a Dan Trickett-Smith brace and a first goal for Ammar Dyer to seal the victory in a competitive and at times, combative 3-1 win.
Falco chose attacking midfielder, Dan Trickett-Smith, as man of the match, following his robust performance - scoring two goals and one assist!
In addition to sponsoring Leek Town FC, Falco promotes Social Value and has actively supported many charity and local initiatives within the local community over the past few years. Other recent examples include sponsoring Keatesy's Community Boxing Academy, a local not-for-profit academy opened by professional boxer, Andy Keates, sponsoring Sparrow Park, a new charitable project aimed at developing young people with learning disabilities and mental health issues and sponsoring Leek Town U10 Girls Football Team shirts.
Jeremy Green, Managing Director, added; “it was a very chilly day but we got a very warm reception from the Leek Board and staff, it really is a great local club, plus the quality of the football was excellent, we were all impressed by the standard which the Leek team produced. All-in-all a fantastic day and a privilege to have the opportunity to be again involved in local sport. Hopefully Leek can push on to the end of the season and get the promotion they deserve!”
