Falco Renews Sold Secure Diamond Accreditation
28-01-2026

Falco is delighted to announce that its FalcoPod bike hangars have once again successfully renewed their Sold Secure Diamond Standard accreditation, reaffirming their position as one of the UK’s most secure cycle parking solutions.

The Sold Secure Diamond Standard is the highest level of security accreditation available in the UK and is independently awarded by the Master Locksmiths Association following rigorous testing that simulates real-world attacks and attempts at forced entry. This renewal confirms that FalcoPod continues to meet the stringent criteria required to protect bicycles from theft and vandalism.

Renewing Sold Secure Diamond status demonstrates that the FalcoPod:

  • Continues to deliver industry-leading resistance to theft and attack.
  • Maintains security performance in line with the latest standards.
  • Offers assurance and peace of mind for both cyclists and specifiers.

Sold Secure’s testing process is demanding and ongoing — products must be re-evaluated periodically to ensure they remain compliant as security standards evolve. This renewal therefore reflects Falco’s ongoing investment in design integrity and quality manufacturing.

With secure cycle infrastructure playing a crucial role in active travel strategies, having independently verified, high-security bike hangars supports confidence in cycling as a mode of transport — particularly in public and high-traffic environments.

The renewed Diamond accreditation further underscores FalcoPod’s suitability for:

  • Local authority and council projects
  • Residential streets and neighbourhoods
  • Transport hubs and commuter sites
  • Workplaces and mixed-use developments

Falco design is both evolutionary and innovative by nature and the new FalcoPod 2.0 cycle hangar is no exception. It is a fourth generation of ‘bike hangar’ type product, building on the pedigree of the original FalcoPod cycle hangar, with some great new security and innovative features over existing cycle hangar products, as follows:

  • Meets the Sold Secure Diamond standard for exceptional cycle security.
  • Available with a manual key or smartphone app access (or a combination of the two).
  • Size - fits in half a car parking space and houses 6 bikes, with covered weather protection.
  • Family inclusive – with an ergonomically improved design, the additional space/height (55% more) means there is no need to remove child seats or baskets from the back or front of bikes.
  • Bike security - the six place FalcoSound bike rack has three locking points including the ability to use a ‘D’ lock through the rear wheel and frame.
  • Easy access - single door with integral lock and gas strut for assisted lifting.

In addition to Sold Secure Diamond, the FalcoPod 2.0 cycle Hangar is manufactured in accordance with the ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ISO14001 Environmental Management System and EN 1090 CE Mark Standard.
