Falco cycle parking employees have raised over £200 in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support and Cancer Research UK.

The fundraising day at Falco’s head office in Staffordshire was filled with coffee and cake and Finance Manager, Netty Barlow, organised a raffle with fun prizes up for grabs, including jewellery, bottles of spirit, aftershave, a Pinch of Nom recipe book, toiletries and a classic tub of Cadbury Heroes!

Speaking about the funding, organiser Netty Barlow explained “This year we have two Charity Events that members of staff are participating in, being the Macmillan Hike, and Cancer Research Mud Run.  Running a raffle (or two) means we can easily divide the monies between the 2 different charities. Also, people buying a raffle ticket feel involved, and look forward to winning a prize if they are lucky.”

Managing Director, Rob Harper, commented “All of us know someone who has suffered with cancer at some point in their life or has had their life changed by the disease either with themselves or a family member. We already support Cancer Research, so supporting MacMillan is a natural partner to our fundraising. This year, we are looking for the Team to get involved with my Colleagues taking part in the Marathon Hike or the traditional Mud Run. We are extremely proud of the money that we have raised”.

All of the Falco team are very proud of what Netty has achieved and the large amount of money raised for such a good cause; Netty is an inspiration to all the staff here, having had great successes with other fund raising events such as McMillan coffee mornings, Race For Life and Children in Need amongst others – she is an inspiration!

Macmillan Cancer Support and Cancer Research UK are two of the largest British charities and provide vital research, support and health care to anybody suffering with cancer.
