Falco is proud to celebrate the fantastic efforts of Netty Barlow, Finance Manager, and Ruby Owen, Finance Assistant, who took part in Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life Pretty Muddy 5k at Central Forest Park, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent on Sunday 26th July.
Together, Netty and Ruby raised an impressive £425 for Cancer Research UK, taking on the mud-filled obstacle course in true Falco style. This year’s fancy dress theme saw Netty dressed as Snow White, while Ruby took on the role of Grumpy — although judging by the smiles, laughter and fundraising total, there was very little to be grumpy about!
The Pretty Muddy 5k saw participants climb, crawl and slide their way around a series of obstacles, all while raising vital funds for life-saving cancer research. For Ruby, this marked her second event in support of Cancer Research UK, while Netty has been taking part for at least ten years, dressing in a whole range of different outfits along the way.
Commenting after the event, Netty said: “This was the muddiest event yet, as the mud had to be bought in on trucks due to the recent dry weather, so they were making sure they used all they had.
As usual, lots of obstacles, lots of fun and lots of money raised.
We thank everyone who has continued to support both of us and allowing us to play dress up in the mud.”
Everyone at Falco would like to congratulate Netty and Ruby on another brilliant fundraising achievement and thank everyone who supported their efforts for such an important cause.
