Falco is proud to celebrate the fantastic achievement of Owen Denny, Operations Assistant, who completed the Manchester Half Marathon on Sunday 31st May while raising an incredible £4,880 for Breast Cancer Now.
The event saw approximately 35,000 runners take part, creating an inspiring atmosphere across the city as thousands of participants came together to challenge themselves and raise money for important causes. Owen’s fundraising efforts were particularly impressive, with his final total placing him as the fifth largest fundraiser.
Taking on the challenge in support of his mum, Owen showed real commitment throughout his training and fundraising journey. His achievement reflects not only personal determination, but also the generosity of family, friends, colleagues and supporters who helped him reach such an outstanding total.
Commenting on the experience, Owen said: “This year I wanted to set myself a challenge and raise money for a good cause in support of my mum. I thought the Manchester Half Marathon would be a good place to start. I enjoyed every second of the experience, the atmosphere was amazing with my family and friends there to cheer me on.”
Breast Cancer Now is a charity dedicated to funding life-changing breast cancer research and providing vital support for people affected by breast cancer. Owen’s fundraising contribution will help support the charity’s important work and make a positive difference to those who need it most.
