These are the cycle shelters Falco recently supplied to BP Chargemaster’s new National Headquarters at Linford Wood in Milton Keynes! Falco MD Jeremy Green said “This is great, it’s a straight swap, as we have recently installed Chargemaster equipment for our electric vehicles!”
The new purpose built facility based at the ‘electric vehicle capital of the country’, brings 150 high tech jobs to the area, situated in a 45,000 sq. ft facility now at the forefront of the fast growing electric vehicle technology market.
As part of the new ground breaking development, Falco manufactured, supplied and installed two environmentally friendly FalcoZan-180 cycle shelters, equipped with green sedum roofs, providing employees of Chargermaster with ultra green cycle parking.
The open and spacious cycle shelter design has been installed with steel mesh cladding and a Toaster cycle rack providing secure cycle parking for up to ten bikes per shelter. The sedum roof is an eye-catching aspect within the new shelters creating a natural appearance and is sympathetic to the new surroundings.
Falco provided the client with a free site visit, free AutoCAD design and free rendering graphics to help visualise the scheme prior to order.
The FalcoZan-180 cycle shelter is the single sided version of the product range and meets EN1090 CPR which is UK law for cycle shelters. A base module is 3,980mm wide x 2,495mm deep, with a free head height of 2,100mm. The base module can be added to - to create a cycle shelter as wide as required, by using standard ‘add-on’ units.
The steelwork and roof are hot dip galvanised as standard with an option to polyester powder coat on top of this substrate if required. The popular cycle shelter design has been used across the country with recent installations at Loughborough and Reading Universities.
