Falco has successfully designed, manufactured, supplied and installed a bespoke 11m x 4m glass-clad FalcoHub cycle hub for Warrington Bus Interchange on behalf of Warrington Borough Council.
The new cycle hub provides a secure and highly visible cycle parking facility at a key local transport interchange, helping to support active travel and encourage more integrated journeys by bike and public transport. With its reinforced glass cladding and bold visual appearance, the hub offers a bright, open and accessible environment for cyclists while maintaining a strong level of security.
The installation accommodates 24 bicycles using FalcoLevel-Eco two-tier cycle racks, providing efficient high-capacity parking within the hub. A further ten cycle parking spaces are provided through five traditional Sheffield Stands, offering additional flexibility for users who prefer ground-level parking.
To enhance the overall appearance of the facility, attractive bespoke branding graphics have been applied to the glass panels, creating a distinctive and eye-catching design that helps the cycle hub stand out within the surrounding streetscape. The steelwork has also been powder coated in a Jet Black RAL colour, giving the structure a smart, modern and durable finish.
The FalcoHub has been equipped with LED lighting to improve visibility and usability, while secure access provides reassurance for users leaving their bicycles at the interchange. A green sedum roof has also been incorporated into the design, helping to support biodiversity, soften the visual impact of the structure and contribute to a more sustainable public realm.
This latest installation demonstrates Falco’s ability to deliver complete, bespoke cycle hub solutions for local authorities and transport environments, combining secure access, high-capacity cycle parking, attractive branding, lighting and sustainable design features within one fully integrated structure.
