The UK government has recently confirmed a significant funding package designed to accelerate walking, wheeling and cycling infrastructure across England — creating opportunities for local authorities, communities and partners to deliver more active travel routes and facilities. In December 2025, Active Travel England (ATE) announced that councils across England have been awarded over £626 million in central government funding to support walking, wheeling and cycling schemes. This multi-year investment is expected to deliver around 500 miles of new and upgraded routes and support an additional 170,000 greener, more active trips per day. Two extraordinary Falco colleagues embarked on a remarkable journey on Saturday 20th July, conquering the challenging Macmillan Peak District Mighty Hike and raising over £900 in the process. Braving the summer heat, Managing Director, Rob Harper and Sales Co-ordinator, Ben Duffield, fearlessly embraced the challenge ahead – a gruelling 26.7 mile hike through the Peak District National Park – most famous for its rocky escarpments and ridges to mini mountains and rolling moorland. Falco is pleased to announce the purchase of two new electric fork trucks - boosting the green credentials of our cycle parking manufacturing and warehouse facility. With this recent addition, our fleet now includes six electric forklift trucks. In comparison to the previous diesel-powered trucks, the new electric fork trucks provide zero carbon emissions, has a much quieter operation, lower running costs and offers a more ergonomic driving experience. Falco was delighted to sponsor local Football club, Leek Town FC, for its home match on Saturday 13th April, as they took on promotion chasing Bootle FC in the Northern Premier League West match at Harrison Park. The match kicked off on a warm spring Saturday afternoon and The Blues knew this would be a tough game as Bootle are fighting to finish in 2nd or 3rd spot in the league, which will guarantee them a home tie in the playoffs.
