The Government’s recently announced Active Travel Innovation Fund, which offers grants of up to £100,000 to small and medium-sized businesses and NGOs, represents a bold step forward in accelerating walking, wheeling and cycling initiatives across England. Falco, a leading manufacturer and supplier of secure cycle parking systems, cycle racks, shelters, cycle hubs and bike hangars, applauds the initiative and is positioning itself as a capable partner for any organisation or business preparing a bid. The fund, part of the government’s “Plan for Change,” invites proposals that deliver new or expanded active travel ideas — especially those targeting under-represented communities, leveraging digital tools, or working in partnership with local authorities. Applications are open from 6 October to 14 November, for 12-month projects with evaluation...
Falco’s design team has been working closely with the visualisation software company BetaStreets - the developers of the new purpose-built Computer-Generated Image (CGI) design and visualisation tool for use with street design, highways and placemaking. BetaStreets is a design tool which has been developed with the aim of simplifying the placemaking design process and making it accessible to anyone. The app-based tool enables personal high quality visualisations to be created in a fraction of the time it would take using traditional design practices. Falco’s client-base can now use the software to quickly visualise how a cycle parking facility such as a FalcoPod bike hangar or row of Sheffield stands would look in a particular location or setting, as demonstrated in the...

We are delighted (and astonished!) that Falco’s Accountant, Netty Barlow, has (yet again) raised over £350 for Cancer Research UK by participating in the Stoke-on-Trent Pretty Muddy 5k ‘mud run’ event at Central Forest Park in Hanley on Sunday 12th September. Netty put her best foot forward and joined hundreds of women and children to tackle a 5k muddy obstacle course, hurdling over obstacles into piles of mud, weaving through spiders webs, scaling climbing frames and tyres, crawling through tunnels, scramble nets and mud pits and finally racing down an inflatable mud chute! After the event Netty said “Cancer can only be eradicated with more money being put into research, to find out what causes it, how we can stop it, and how to...
Falco has been a family company with its own production site for over 70 years. Sustainability was in our DNA from the very beginning and this is reflected within our complete range of modular cycle parking and shelter products, all designed with full circularity in mind.
All products ranges are contemporary and durable, typical of a Falco product. Falco has been at the forefront of the cycle parking and street furniture market and has built up a renowned reputation for manufacturing products that exceed in both design and durability.
