The UK government has recently confirmed a significant funding package designed to accelerate walking, wheeling and cycling infrastructure across England — creating opportunities for local authorities, communities and partners to deliver more active travel routes and facilities. In December 2025, Active Travel England (ATE) announced that councils across England have been awarded over £626 million in central government funding to support walking, wheeling and cycling schemes. This multi-year investment is expected to deliver around 500 miles of new and upgraded routes and support an additional 170,000 greener, more active trips per day. The funding aims to enable safer streets, healthier communities and more sustainable travel choices by backing local authorities with capital funding, technical support and capability development. Local authorities rated more...

Falco’s Guide to Local Transport Note (LTN) 1/20 Cycle Infrastructure Design

As a member of the Bicycle Association (BA), Falco has been working with both the BA and the Cycle Rail Working Group (CRWG) to help shape the new LTN 1/20 UK quality and security standards for public cycle parking.  Announced at the beginning of 2020, the Local Transport Note (LTN) 1/20, is a Department for Transport (DfT) national guidance document that details standards expected of new cycle infrastructure. The document embraces the principles of policy ‘Gear Change’ of July 2020, which set out the actions required to radically increase active travel. LTN 1/20 sets out the minimum standards for local authorities and highway engineers when implementing new cycle infrastructure and includes, but not limited to, cycle crossings and junctions, cycle lanes, cycle tracks,...

Falco Raises £450 for the Trussell Trust’s First Ever Emergency Fund Appeal

Falco cycle parking employees have raised £450 for the Trussell Trust’s first ever large scale emergency fundraising appeal - to help meet unprecedented demand and keep its 1,300 food bank network operating this winter. The fundraising day at Falco’s head office in Staffordshire was filled with coffee and cake and Finance Manager, Netty Barlow, organised a raffle with fun prizes up for grabs, including a summer picnic hamper, Christmas decorations, aftershave, children’s toys and a classic tub of Cadbury Heroes! Speaking about the funding, organiser Netty Barlow explained “we are experiencing one of the worst Cost of Living crises in modern times, and The Trussell Trust Food Banks helps those most in need. As food banks are having to help more and more...

Falco Raises £780 for Cancer Research UK

We are delighted (and astonished!) that Falco’s Managing Director, Rob Harper and Finance Manager, Netty Barlow, has (yet again) raised an incredible £780 for Cancer Research UK, by participating in the Stoke-on-Trent Pretty Muddy 5k ‘obstacle mud run’ event at Central Forest Park in Hanley on Sunday 17th July. Netty and Rob both put their best foot forward and joined hundreds of adults and children to tackle a 5k muddy obstacle course, hurdling over obstacles into piles of mud, weaving through spiders webs, scaling climbing frames, crawling through tunnels, scrambling nets and mud pits and finally racing down an inflatable mud chute! After the event Rob said “I really enjoyed taking part in the event as cancer has such an effect on so many...

Neighbourhood Cycle Hubs – Securely accommodate an entire neighbourhood of bikes with just one cycle hub

Secure, convenient and cost-effective, one cycle hub can accommodate an entire residential neighbourhood of bikes with just one cycle hub design. From as little as four bikes all the way up to several hundred, a cycle hub can offer significant cost savings of up to 30% in comparison to purchasing individual cycle lockers. One of the key restraints for neighbourhoods across towns and cities is the lack of available space, especially where secure cycle parking is concerned. Instead of numerous cycle lockers installed throughout an estate, just one sleek and compact cycle hub can provide a whole neighbourhood with secure universal cycle parking to meet a whole range of different bicycle designs - from traditional bikes and e-Bikes, to adaptive bikes,...

Falco has been a family company with its own production site for over 70 years. Sustainability was in our DNA from the very beginning and this is reflected within our complete range of modular cycle parking and shelter products, all designed with full circularity in mind.

All products ranges are contemporary and durable, typical of a Falco product. Falco has been at the forefront of the cycle parking and street furniture market and has built up a renowned reputation for manufacturing products that exceed in both design and durability.

Falco’s operations have supported the Circular Economy for many years, simply manufacturing products with environmentally friendly products, that can last for decades and at the end of the product life can be 100% recycled and manufactured back into a brand new product.
