26-02-2026

The UK government has recently confirmed a significant funding package designed to accelerate walking, wheeling and cycling infrastructure across England — creating opportunities for local authorities, communities and partners to deliver more active travel routes and facilities. In December 2025, Active Travel England (ATE) announced that councils across England have been awarded over £626 million in central government funding to support walking, wheeling and cycling schemes. This multi-year investment is expected to deliver around 500 miles of new and upgraded routes and support an additional 170,000 greener, more active trips per day. The funding aims to enable safer streets, healthier communities and more sustainable travel choices by backing local authorities with capital funding, technical support and capability development. Falco Supports TfL’s First Cargo Bike Action Plan with Range of Secure Cargo Bike Parking

Transport for London’s (TfL) first ever Cargo Bike Action Plan was launched at the National Cargo Bike Summit in Guildhall, London, at the end of March, marking a milestone for the growth of cargo bike cycling within the capital. Under the new action plan, TfL will work with councils, businesses and freight industries to transform how deliveries and servicing journeys are made within the capital, by promoting the growth of cargo bikes and associated infrastructure and addressing the barriers that inhibit or prevent a shift from vans to cargo bikes. TfL says the safe, clean and efficient functioning of freight in London is vitally important to the economy and a healthier and more sustainable city for all Londoners. The use of cargo...

Speaking about the funding, organiser Netty Barlow explained “This year we have two Charity Events that members of staff are participating in, being the Macmillan Hike, and Cancer Research Mud Run.  Running a raffle (or two) means we can easily divide the monies between the 2 different charities. Discussing the challenge, Simon explained “I just saw the challenge pop up on a social media site and it was not long after my Wife’s Aunty was diagnosed with terminal cancer. So, without really thinking about it, I signed up for the challenge with only 5 days to practice. After...

During our planned maintenance visits, we do complete certain preventative tasks ready for winter, but frozen locks can still occur. If your bike hangar lock is likely to be...
