The UK government has recently confirmed a significant funding package designed to accelerate walking, wheeling and cycling infrastructure across England — creating opportunities for local authorities, communities and partners to deliver more active travel routes and facilities. In December 2025, Active Travel England (ATE) announced that councils across England have been awarded over £626 million in central government funding to support walking, wheeling and cycling schemes. This multi-year investment is expected to deliver around 500 miles of new and upgraded routes and support an additional 170,000 greener, more active trips per day. Falco is delighted to have been awarded the Cycle Parking and Infrastructure framework agreement by the NHS’s Shared Business Services for the second time in a row. The agreement which now runs for four years has been tendered to provide best value to NHS related facilities. This framework includes the delivery, supply, installation, management and maintenance of cycle parking infrastructure and services, from cycle racks to cycling hubs and everything in between. Falco cycle parking employees have raised £465 for the Trussell Trust’s Leek & District Foodbank - to help meet the local charity’s unprecedented demand this winter. The fundraising day at Falco’s Head Office in Leekbrook was filled with coffee and cake. Finance Manager, Netty Barlow, organised a raffle with fun prizes up for grabs, including locally produced Titanic ales, a bluetooth wireless speaker, family games, home essentials and jewellery. Falco has donated a new buggy shelter to Home-Start Staffordshire Moorlands – a voluntary organisation providing free, confidential support for families across the Staffordshire Moorlands. Home-Start approached Falco to see if they could provide a sheltered solution for the congregation of buggies increasingly parked inside the charity building. The team at Falco jumped onboard and worked together to provide a suitable product that can not only accommodate buggies, but also provide the charity with wheelchair storage and cycle parking too. We are delighted that Falco’s Finance Manager, Netty Barlow, has (yet again!) raised an incredible £520 for Cancer Research UK, by participating in the Stoke-on-Trent Pretty Muddy 5k ‘obstacle mud run’ event at Central Forest Park in Hanley on Sunday 30th July. Netty put her best foot forward and joined hundreds of adults and children to tackle a 5k muddy obstacle course, hurdling over obstacles into piles of mud, weaving through spiders webs, scaling climbing frames, crawling through tunnels, scrambling nets and mud pits and finally racing down an inflatable mud chute!
