The UK government has recently confirmed a significant funding package designed to accelerate walking, wheeling and cycling infrastructure across England — creating opportunities for local authorities, communities and partners to deliver more active travel routes and facilities. In December 2025, Active Travel England (ATE) announced that councils across England have been awarded over £626 million in central government funding to support walking, wheeling and cycling schemes. This multi-year investment is expected to deliver around 500 miles of new and upgraded routes and support an additional 170,000 greener, more active trips per day. Falco’s HGV vehicles have been fitted with indirect vision improvements and have been granted a Direct Vision Standard (DVS) HGV Safety Permit in order to make safer deliveries in Greater London. FalcoSmart Keyless Bike Hangar is the latest development of our FalcoSmart App-based cycle parking system for bike hangars and (cycle hubs) which removes the traditional key based locking system completely, providing hands-free/handle-less entry to any UK bike hangar. Falco has recently installed a number of cycle canopies and shelters with integral solar PV (Photo Voltaic) powered LED lighting. A key element of keeping bicycles safe is to ensure they are visible and well-lit. Ordinarily a client would have to provide an electric mains feed in order to install costly mains lighting to a shelter. However Falco has a cost-effective and efficient solution using Solar PV panels, to enable the client to go “off grid”. The Solar powered lighting system is both simple and safe.
