Cycle Box as storage

A new purpose for our cycle box, the Midi Bike Box, this school uses the box for storage of play equipment! The Navigation Primary School in Altrincham, Manchester completed their school travel plan in 2008. A need was highlighted to produce storage for equipment in the external play area. The solution was the Midi Bike Box that fitted perfectly in the allocated space, creating a totally lockable and fun piece of equipment. The Midi Bike Box is normally used to stall bikes in it, but for this school it was just what they needed for their play equipment.

FalcoRondo, Swing and Topazio street furniture

Falco placed a bin store, benches and planters to make this square a nice place to sit and relax in Trinity Square, Nottingham. The bin store is a version of the FalcoRondo with a steel roof and wooden sidewalls. It shows the flexibility of the shelter FalcoRondo. The shelter can be placed with or without sidewalls. Other roof coverings such as polycarbonate, or walls made of safety glass, solid plastic sheets or lattice work are also available. The benches are from the FalcoSwing street furniture series. These benches look good anywhere and resist all weathers. The Swing benches are vandal resistant because there are not any visible nuts or bolts on the seat or back support. The modular construction of the FalcoSwing street furniture makes many arrangements possible. Here you’ll find the bench with back support but they are also available without a back support and in a square or hexagonal arrangement. The Topazio planters are a traditionally dimensioned planter design for public and private spaces. The inside is water-resistant and eye bolts are included to ease movement. This square is complete with the bin store, benches and planters from Falco. Interested? Please contact us for advice about your project requirements.

Circular
The Netherlands wants to be fully circular by 2050 and use 50% less primary raw materials (minerals, metals and fossil fuels) by 2030. That is a challenge, also for Falco. Since its foundation, Falco has been working modularly and progressively. But circular thinking still requires adjustments. That is why Falco has had a Circular Manager, John Wermink, since 2020.

John focuses on making Falco products as circular as possible, including:
  • designs for easy assembly and disassembly
  • repairing, refurbishing and recycling
  • retaining the (residual) value of materials and labour
  • certification according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, VCA, FSC® and the CO2 performance ladder (KAM)
Want to know more?
Falco is happy to think along about the use of circular products for a more beautiful and responsible design of your outdoor space.
