Last week Falco supplied and installed a co-ordinated smoking shelter and cycle shelter for the Vattenfall Wind Power in Ramsgate!  The cost-effective FalcoQuarter design was chosen for its versatile open design and great value for money in terms of covered cycle parking. The 5m cycle shelter was equipped with six surface-fix Sheffield stands providing secure cycle parking for up to 12 bikes! The 3m smoking shelter was made complete with a Dara litter bin with integrated ash tray. Both shelters were powder-coated in RAL colour 5017 Traffic Blue to provide additional durability, the image attached shows the two new additions. With the addition of a simple walkway cover and optional gates front and rear, the FalcoQuarter can easily be made into a very versatile storage compound. Again with up to 5m variants, it is possible to create enclosed, weather proof spaces of any size. The front and rear entrance/exits can be left open or closed off. Using robust metal gates and polycarbonate sheets it is simple to create a secure compound which is lockable yet visible. The shelter is clad in robust polycarbonate and together with the hot dip galvanised steel frame, is a  very durable product. This is the bespoke FalcoLok-500 cycle store designed, manufactured, supplied and installed by Falco this month at Queens Road in Peckham, London, on behalf of Overbury PLC. The secure store was modified in height and depth by our design team to accommodate 32 FalcoLevel two-tier cycle parking spaces as well as two 8 space Toaster racks. Sliding doors were also added at the front of the store to allow for maximum accessibility. The image attached shows the new cycle store addition with Bowler bollards, taken on a crisp autumn afternoon! FalcoLok-500 Secure StoreWith a standard module size of 4,990 mm across the front and a depth of 3,980 mm the FalcoLok-500 cycle shelter is a very large cycle storage facility housed under a single roof span without internal supports. The FalcoLok-500 can be modified to match any bespoke specification including the relocation of doors, resizing of the bin store in width, depth or height and cladding in over nine different options. All Falco bin stores can be supplied only, or supplied and installed by our own highly qualified team of installation engineers holding the CSCS Gold cards. Falco has supplied and installed a series of FalcoLevel two-tier cycle parking systems for Bristol Parkway Station! The 108 cycle space facility was installed last week on behalf of First Great Western with each cycle space fully sheltered by a modified FalcoTel-E canopy. The new two-tier cycle parking facility provides passengers with up to four individual locking points to securely park their bicycle to either the upper or lower rack! New to our product portfolio, the FalcoSafe-Round cycle locker is similar in design to the traditional FalcoSafe and offers aesthetical features as well as secure cycle parking. Specifically designed for the City of Milton Keynes, the FalcoSafe-Round is very compact and an ideal product to withstand continuous day to day use.   All steelwork on the FalcoSafe-Round cycle locker can be polyester powder coated in any of the 192 standard RAL colours. On the 9th July the first cycle hub opened its doors in Stockholm - the capital of Sweden, providing a revolutionary facility for commuters and tourists to securely park their bikes. The state-of-the-art, three floor facility, uses the FalcoLevel two-tier cycle parking rack and Triangle cycle stands to provide 390 free of charge cycle spaces. The Swedish government wants to promote the use of cycling and public transport to ease congestion and reduce its carbon footprint. Therefore this new cycle parking infrastructure makes cycling in Stockholm an attractive and easy way to travel around the city and become part of the city’s everyday life. Stockholm’s Transport Chief - Ula Hamilton explains ‘We would like more people to start cycling around the city and to increase use of public transport, therefore we have created Stockholm’s first cycle hub which is ideally situated next to train and bus services’. The new cycle hub is easily accessible via various cycle paths, as well as part of a bus terminal route providing accessibility from all areas of the city. Towards the end of 2012 a sheltered cycle path is planned connecting cyclists to the Älvsjö train station so that the rail - cycle parking link is enhanced still further. These are the stylish FalcoGamma double-sided cycle shelters recently installed at Tresham College - Corby Campus, via Hannafin Contractors. As part of the state-of-the-art £36m development, the gull-wing design was chosen for its contemporary, practical and secure design in terms of covered cycle parking. The cycle shelter is powder-coated in Jet Black RAL Colour - 9005 and supplied with 56 Sheffield stands taking the available cycle parking spaces up to 112! Falco also supplied a series of five, high quality Argo-Plus litter bins powder-coated in grey RAL colour 9006. FalcoGamma Cycle ShelterA design characteristic for this model is the central column that evolves into two upward facing branches. The FalcoGamma is available in both double-sided and single-sided variations. The cycle shelter, with bowed styling, is clad with 4mm thick, high quality clear polycarbonate roof sheets. The height of the FalcoGamma is 2.10m, the depth for the single sided shelter is 1.91m and the depth for a double sided shelter is 3.70m, the free height under the gutter is 1.53m and length is 4.00m centre to centre between the stanchions. The shelter can be mounted as a below ground fix or bolted down using base plates which are bolted on to a concrete pad or prefab concrete blocks. The concrete block is 1400 x 250 x 315mm under the stanchion, smaller stanchions can be provided with prefab Falco concrete blocks.
