These are the stylish FalcoGamma double-sided cycle shelters recently installed at Tresham College - Corby Campus, via Hannafin Contractors. As part of the state-of-the-art £36m development, the gull-wing design was chosen for its contemporary, practical and secure design in terms of covered cycle parking. The cycle shelter is powder-coated in Jet Black RAL Colour - 9005 and supplied with 56 Sheffield stands taking the available cycle parking spaces up to 112! Falco also supplied a series of five, high quality Argo-Plus litter bins powder-coated in grey RAL colour 9006. FalcoGamma Cycle ShelterA design characteristic for this model is the central column that evolves into two upward facing branches. The FalcoGamma is available in both double-sided and single-sided variations. The cycle shelter, with bowed styling, is clad with 4mm thick, high quality clear polycarbonate roof sheets. The height of the FalcoGamma is 2.10m, the depth for the single sided shelter is 1.91m and the depth for a double sided shelter is 3.70m, the free height under the gutter is 1.53m and length is 4.00m centre to centre between the stanchions. The shelter can be mounted as a below ground fix or bolted down using base plates which are bolted on to a concrete pad or prefab concrete blocks. The concrete block is 1400 x 250 x 315mm under the stanchion, smaller stanchions can be provided with prefab Falco concrete blocks. FalcoSail Cycle Shelter The University of Northampton have sailed to the future with the latest addition of a FalcoSail cycle shelter. The cycle shelter is equipped with an add-on section and 12 bolt down Sheffield stands taking the cycle parking space to a huge 24! The cycle shelter is made complete with a blue powder coating that provides pleasing aesthetics and an additional layer of protection to the steel framework. The FalcoSail cycle shelter is a great design alternative to the FalcoLite or FalcoQuarter cycle shelter. The FalcoSail is a design led product and from any angle the likeness of a sail ship is unmistakable, making the shelter a very attractive addition to any external environment for use as a cycle shelter. The standard FalcoSail can accommodate up to 10 bikes, however like all Falco cycle shelters, the FalcoSail is modular in design enabling a shelter to be extended to be able to house any number of cycles in various combinations. The great flexibility of the FalcoSail enables it to be used for multiple purposes, from a cycle shelter to a waiting shelter or smoking shelter, or even as a pushchair shelter. When Network Rail wanted to upgrade the concourse outside Euston station, they turned to Falco to develop a bespoke picnic table. Based on the FalcoBloc range of seating, the new design for the main West Coast terminus was specially adapted to meet the needs of the travelling public. Falco’s street furniture design team took the popular FalcoBloc table and adapted it in conjunction with the requirements of Network Rail’s station management team. The new solid and functional design provides a stylish and welcoming environment for travellers to the North and West. Manufactured from robust steel and hardwood, the FalcoBloc picnic tables are designed to be very functional and long lasting. Completed in June 2009, the FalcoBloc picnic benches have already proved highly popular and seem to be of great use to all members of the public.

Falco has recently supplied five stylish FalcoSail cycle shelters for the Manchester Science Park! Each shelter is powder coated to provide additional durability and equipped with a FalcoToaster cycle rack to provide secure accommodation for up to ten bikes. Falco has recently designed, manufactured and supplied a stylish double-sided Triangle cycle shelter for the new Cobridge Community Health Centre in Stoke-on-Trent. As part of the new, three floor £14m state-of-the-art development, the Triangle cycle shelter was supplied on behalf of Wates Construction and adds the finishing design touches to the hospital entrance. The Triangle double-sided cycle shelter was chosen for its attractive design characteristics and great value for money in terms of secure cycle parking. The image attached shows the attractive cycle shelter addition, equipped with eight co-ordinated, space saving Triangle-30 ‘hi-lo’ cycle stands taking the available spaces up to 16 for just a 4m canopy! Triangle Cycle Shelters The double-sided variation of the popular Triangle range of cycle shelters offers a great design statement with the symmetry of the shelter arms creating a light and open arrangement. By placing two shelters facing each other a covered walkway or cycle compound can be easily created. Utilising the 2.25m span for each arm, a walkway 4m wide is possible – ideal for a public thoroughfare. Like all Falco shelters, the modular nature of the Triangle cycle shelter enables designers and specifiers to create a walkway system of any dimensions. The FalcoZan-180 cycle store with modified sliding gates is the latest addition to Loughborough University’s collection of Falco cycle shelters and cycle stores. Falco took to the design and manufacture, supply and installation of the robust cycle store last month, providing secure cycle parking for up to 10 bikes! The image attached shows the attractive FalcoZan-180, installed last month equipped with a 5 hooped FalcoToaster cycle rack inside. Falco continues to complete more contracts using the attractive FalcoZan-180 design which is easily modified to accommodate sliding doors at the front of the store if required. The FalcoZan-180 is very utilitarian and robust providing an extremely secure facility for accommodating cycles, machinery and equipment. The FalcoZan range is also available in a double-sided variation by placing two single-sided shelters back-to-back with options to create a 5m deep shelter whilst retaining the wide 4m opening front and back. All steelwork is hot-dip galvanised and can be polyester powder coated in any of the 192 standard RAL colours upon request.
