Falco manufactured, installed and supplied a series of co-ordinated street furniture products for Middlesex University last month as part of two new outdoor seating areas. The products include FalcoBloc seating, benches, picnic tables, chairs and stools, FalcoSwing tables and modular FalcoSystem seating. The products were separated into two seating areas as follows: Paddock Area: A series of three modular FalcoSystem seating designs made up of three curvaceous seats at 36° with backrest,  two curvaceous benches at 36° without backrest and three straight benches without backrest. Four FalcoSwing hexagonal tables surface mounted. Shepherd Area: Two freestanding FalcoBloc picnic tables (open design). Three FalcoBloc benches without back free standing. Six FalcoBloc compact stools surface fixed. All products are manufactured from sustainable hardwood with a galvanised steel frame making them very co-ordinated in design, sustainable and durable. As part of the Transforming Our Primary Schools (TOPS) programme, South Tyneside went forward with the proposal to provide a new building for Stanhope Primary School. The site for the new school was to be the existing school site. S G W Construction in Redcar contacted Falco to provide a stylish and robust cycle shelter to blend in with the state of the art designed school building as a way to encourage more students to travel to school by bike. Falco provided Stanhope with various cycle parking and cycle shelter options that fit within budget and matched the exact specifications the school was looking for. The FalcoQuarter is one of Falco’s newest and most versatile shelter designs. Developed to meet the needs of community projects or Building Schools for the Future where budget is the main constraint, the FalcoQuarter offers great flexibility and quality but for minimum cost. The quarter name comes straight from the design shape of the quarter segment of a disk and provides great simplicity in both form and function. With the addition of a simple walkway cover and optional gates front and rear, the FalcoQuarter can easily be made into a very versatile storage compound. With 2, 3, 4 and 5m variants, it is possible to create enclosed, weather proof spaces of any size. The front and rear entrance/exits can be left open with gates or closed off. Balhousie Primary School in Scotland has just welcomed their new FalcoBreeze cycle shelter. This simple, yet highly efficient shelter has proved to be a reliable source for students to park their bicycles and the RAL shade of red blends in well against the schools sand stone background. Falco have supplied and installed this shelter following a free site visit from Falco’s local Business Manager based in Scotland. These are the FalcoBloc picnic tables installed at the new Man City fan park on the day that the FIFA delegation chose to tour the hi-tech football arena! When Manchester City Football Club required a high quantity of picnic tables for their brand new City Square entertainment zone, they turned to Falco for help. Man City required a product that was highly robust and could with strain heavy demand from football day fixtures. Falco were able to provide Man City when they chose the high quality and robust FalcoBloc picnic tables range capable of withstanding high use and constant demand. The picnic tables form part of the club’s new development for a City Square entertainment zone, a vibrant and state-of-the-art fan experience which is a new concept in British football, located on Joe Mercer Way outside the City store. Thirty nine FalcoBloc benches were used along with another 20 robust FalcoSwing tables to form a seating and ‘perch’ arrangement at the Blue Moon Café. Other facilities include giant LED screens, entertainment and a superb new menu devised with the help of top chef Marco Pierre White. The Man City v Liverpool rivalry match on the 23rd August 2010 provided the perfect occasion for the grand opening of the City Square. Supporters were invited down to enjoy the new facilities as they braced themselves for the big game ahead.
