This is the attractive FalcoRail cycle canopy and two-tier FalcoLevel cycle racks Falco recently manufactured and installed for Cumbria County Council. Using our popular FalcoLevel two-tier cycle parking system and our spacious FalcoRail cycle canopy, 24 secure cycle parking spaces have been created in just 5m, providing secure cycle parking and peace of mind for visitors to the Parkhouse Building in Carlisle. The FalcoLevel two-tier cycle rack was chosen for its compact and space-saving design which is a proven product in solving high demand for cycle parking spaces in restricted areas. FalcoLevel Two-Tier Cycle Parking System The FalcoLevel was developed over 8 years ago in response to the congestion problems that the increase in cycling was bringing. By introducing a two-tier system, it allowed twice as many cycles to be accomodated within the same space frame. Since then 40,000 FalcoLevel two tier cycle racks have been manufactured and installed across the UK for rail stations, collages, universities, shopping centres, car parks and purpose designed cycle hubs. As part of the continued roll-out of cycle parking facilities across stations within the Greater Manchester region Falco recently supplied it’s FalcoLevel two tier cycle racks to a number of jointly developed Northern Rail / TfGM cycle hubs. Pictured here is the funkily purpose designed cycle hub at Manchester’s Oxford Road Station by providing cyclists with up to 50 FalcoLevel two-tier cycle parking spaces. Located in a modern cycle hub at the front of the station, the facility boasts up to 50 secure two-tier cycle parking spaces, CCTV, lighting and a secure access system. Oxford Road is the second busiest station in the Manchester station group and is managed by Northern Rail with a footfall of 7.5 million people per year. Other stations which benefitted form the Falco two tier cycle racks included: Ashton-under-Lyne, Blackburn, Bolton, Salford, Hazel Grove, Eccles and Blackpool making a total of 625 cycle parking spaces as part of the Linking Places Project. Falco recently supplied the University of Southampton with two bespoke FalcoQuarter cycle compounds and a bin store to accommodate a total of 80 bikes. Falco provided full design, manufacture, supply and installation of the compounds as well as concrete foundations which have been installed at the University’s Wessex Hall campus. The two FalcoQuarter cycle compounds have been installed with four – five place Toaster cycle racks along with a walkway cover and lockable gate providing secure cycle parking for up to 40 bikes each. The cycle compound has been powder coated in RAL 5014 Pigeon Blue. Falco recently manufactured, supplied and installed four bays of FalcoSpan cycle canopy for the new £15m Ellesmere Port Sports Leisure Village in Cheshire! The FalcoSpan cycle canopy was chosen for it’s light and spacious design providing maximum accessibility but great cycle coverage. The shelter was powder coated in RAL 9005 Jet Black to both increase durability and match the colour scheme of the leisure centre. Additionally hard wood cladding was added to the legs to soften the feel of the shelters and maintain a coherent theme of the overall design. For cycle parking, below ground fix Sheffield stands provide secure accommodation for up to 40 bikes. Ellesmere Port Sports Leisure Village is the prestigious leading regeneration project for Cheshire West and Chester Council (CWAC). CWAC has a forward thinking cycling policy and this installation provides real support towards that strategy. The development has been co-funded by Sport England on the site of the former Stanney High School and is home to a new purpose built sports and leisure facilities including an 8no lane 25m pool, separate teaching pool, 8 court sports hall to National Premier League Basketball standards with 1400 retractable seats, dance and exercise studios, gymnasium, spinning zone, wet and dry changing areas and café. The new state-of-the-art development is part of a £70m investment in leisure facilities across the borough.

Falco manufactured, supplied and installed a series of 250 FalcoLevel two-tier cycle parking spaces to transform Ely Station into a hub for cyclists. The new facility, protected by CCTV coverage, is classed as Abellio’s CyclePark Plus facility which provides cyclists with secure cycle compounds protected by a secure fob access system. The cycle parking is part of a £500k refurbishment of the station which also includes a new retail unit, customer toilets, a waiting room and customer service office. Ely Station has an annual passenger usage of 1.9 million, served over three platforms and is managed by Train Operating Company, Abellio Greater Anglia. FalcoLevel Two-Tier Cycle Parking Rack The FalcoLevel is an ingenious two-tier cycle parking system designed to accomodate twice the number of bikes compared to any other traditional rack or stand. The FalcoLevel is increasingly used in the UK where space is often at a premium at railway stations, shopping centres, cycle hubs and private offices and commercial buildings.
