        These are the upgraded TfL standard Sheffield cycle stands, Falco recently manufactured, supplied and installed for a number of London Underground Stations within the London Borough of Brent last month! Falco’s installation team which has the UK requirement of NRSWA ‘Street Works’ certification for work on the public highway, undertook the project to increase cycle parking capacity in the Borough by 126 spaces. Taking the traditional Sheffield stand a step further, the enhanced TfL stand has an integral tapping rail to provide for people with impaired vision as well as improved stability and branding options for the Council plus a superior user experience for the cyclist. Falco installed 63 of the powder coated Sheffield Stands to four stations within zone 2 and 3 on the London Underground network, at Willesden Station, Kensal Green Station, Kilburn Park Station and Stonebridge Station. Each below ground fix cycle stand is coated in a Jet Black RAL colour to improve durability with distinctive cycle parking branded vinyl stickers. London Borough of Brent received the following cycle stand allocation to each station: Willesden Station: 26 Stands Kensal Green Station: 6 Stands Kilburn Station: 13 Stands Stonebridge Station: 18 Stands Falco provided complete design, manufacture, supply and installation to the London Borough of Brent, coupled with a free site survey and free rendering graphics to help visualise the scheme. The upgraded Sheffield Stand with tapping rail is used across the UK and a great way to promote cycling organisations, companies or charities within a community.         The first installation of the new FalcoPod Bike Hangars have been supplied and installed to the London Borough of Waltham Forest! The new Bike Hangars have been installed at a number of locations across the Borough and provide members of the public, who do not have access to private cycle parking facilities, with a convenient and secure location to park their bike. Each FalcoPod Bike Hangar has been powder coated in a distinctive Fir Green and provides secure cycle parking for up to six bikes each. The FalcoPod is a third generation of ‘bike hangar’ type product building on the pedigree of the original street locker the ‘Midi Bike Box’ with some great new features over existing products as follows: Size - fits in half a car parking space and houses 6 bikes, with covered weather protection. Family inclusive – with an ergonomically improved design, the additional space/height (55% more) means in some cases there is no need to remove child seats or baskets from the back or front of bikes. Bike security - the six place FalcoSound bike rack has three locking points including the ability to use a ‘D’ lock through the rear wheel and frame. Easy access - single door with integral lock and gas strut for assisted lifting.         These are the cycle shelters Falco recently supplied to BP Chargemaster’s new National Headquarters at Linford Wood in Milton Keynes! Falco MD Jeremy Green said “This is great, it’s a straight swap, as we have recently installed Chargemaster equipment for our electric vehicles!” The new purpose built facility based at the ‘electric vehicle capital of the country’, brings 150 high tech jobs to the area, situated in a 45,000 sq. ft facility now at the forefront of the fast growing electric vehicle technology market. As part of the new ground breaking development, Falco manufactured, supplied and installed two environmentally friendly FalcoZan-180 cycle shelters, equipped with green sedum roofs, providing employees of Chargermaster with ultra green cycle parking. The open and spacious cycle shelter design has been installed with steel mesh cladding and a Toaster cycle rack providing secure cycle parking for up to ten bikes per shelter. The sedum roof is an eye-catching aspect within the new shelters creating a natural appearance and is sympathetic to the new surroundings. Falco provided the client with a free site visit, free AutoCAD design and free rendering graphics to help visualise the scheme prior to order. The FalcoZan-180 cycle shelter is the single sided version of the product range and meets EN1090 CPR which is UK law for cycle shelters. A base module is 3,980mm wide x 2,495mm deep, with a free head height of 2,100mm. The base module can be added to - to create a cycle shelter as wide as required, by using standard ‘add-on’ units. The steelwork and roof are hot dip galvanised as standard with an option to polyester powder coat on top of this substrate if required. The popular cycle shelter design has been used across the country with recent installations at Loughborough and Reading Universities.         These are the two new series of cycle wheel stair ramps manufactured, supplied and installed by Falco for Rotherham Council this month! The effective manual cycle wheel ramps are designed to facilitate a cyclist’s journey by providing an easy to use facility to manoeuvre a bike up and down stairs with ease. Falco installed one series of 9m cycle wheel ramps on Fenton Road, leading to Wagon Road and one series of 10.2m ramps on Fenton Road leading to Orchard Flatts Crescent in Rotherham. Powder coated in an eye catching Zinc Yellow, the wheel ramps were installed following a free site visit, free CAD drawing, free rendering graphic and complete design, manufacture, supply and installation by Falco. Falco has installed manual cycle ramps along with state-of-the-art automated cycle wheel ramps throughout the UK, providing cyclists with a convenient way to negotiate flights of stairs with ease. Recent examples include automated cycle ramps for Microsoft in Cambridge and manual cycle wheel ramps for Milton Keynes council.
