Ada Lovelace High School Receives New Falco Dining Canopy, Cycle Shelters and Bin Store

This is the new series of canopies, shelters and bin stores Falco recently manufactured, supplied and installed for Ada Lovelace High School in Ealing, West London. The client originally contacted Falco back in April with a requirement for a functional dining canopy to cover 950 square ft of picnic tables along with three practical cycle shelters to accommodate a total of 180 bikes and a robust bin store. Falco provided the client with a free site survey, free CAD design and free rendering graphics to help visualise the scheme. The open and spacious FalcoTrustin design was chosen to provide wide coverage for the outdoor dining area. Measuring a generous 18m x 5m, the FalcoTrustin shelter, complete with clear roof sheets to provide a maximum flow of light and additional FSC timber cladding supports, complimented the Architects design scheme and was sympathetic to the surrounding area.   Three clad-less cycle shelters based on the popular FalcoLok design was chosen by the client to provide mass cycle parking for student use. Accommodating a total of 180 cycle parking spaces utilising the traditional Sheffield Stand, Falco installed three separate cycle shelters across the campus creating a network of secure cycle parking. The shelters also provided convenient parking for up to 12 cargo and adaptive bikes, providing a universal facility for all cycling capabilities. The popular FalcoLok-500 design was used again for the bin store. With mesh cladding, double doors and a green sedum roof, the bin stores measures 5m x 4m and provides ample space for storage and a restricted secure access system. The scheme shown here at Ada Lovelace is only one of many cycle parking and shelter installations for schools and universities recently installed by Falco. With other recent installations at the University of Oxford and Cambridge, Leeds Trinity & All Saints University College, University of St Andrews, Queens Manor Primary School in Fulham, Coppermill and Woodside Primary School in Walthamstow and Chelmsford College.
