Supplied and installed across the UK, the FalcoPod has been a fundamental solution within Falco’s cycle parking portfolio for many years - providing secure cycle parking to thousands of cyclists. From residential streets to universities, primary schools to private companies, the FalcoPod offers cyclists of all ages and abilities with secure universal cycle parking. The FalcoPod offers great flexibility and quality. It is one of Falco’s best-selling cycle parking designs and is available with both a master key and also a next generation smart app-controlled mobile key. Falco also provide full on-going rental management.   Like all Falco structures, the FalcoPod not only meets the EN1090 Construction Products Regulations but also comes hot dip galvanised to EN1461 as standard. All products can then be powder coated in any of the 192 RAL colours in our own production facility. A FalcoPod wrap is ideal for sprucing up your neighbourhood, promoting a campaign or event, or even advertising to help the Borough bring in some extra revenue. Falco has its own in-house marketing department and produces designs free of charge for clients, saving on time, money and hassle, whilst our vinyls partners at ‘The Edge Design’ make sure your designs are perfectly applied. Colour options - the FalcoPod is delivered with a powder coated roof cladding to your specification, choose from any of the 192 RAL colours. Personalise - the FalcoPod your way by adding logos, graphics, maps - the flat surface is much better able to receive graphics and vinyls than corrugated cladding. Cladding – can be fitted with mesh (standard), sheet steel, pierced steel, Trespa or any other side cladding of your choice. FalcoPod with Mobile App Access Users are able to download an ‘app’ to their mobile or smart device and once enabled by Falco’s back office system, the user can open the bike hangar simply by pressing the app. Working on a short-range wireless communication interface, an app-based system brings a number of benefits to all parties: • For users, it will offer a cheaper option - no more cutting new keys and mailing them. • For the client it will be cheaper – it’s a more cost efficient bike rental system to manage. • For Falco it will be simpler and more eco-friendly – less administration and less paper. Walkden Station Cycle Hub

Walkden Station Park and Ride Receives Bespoke Falco Cycle Hub Complete with Secure Mobile App Access

This is the latest cycle hub designed, manufactured, supplied and installed by Falco as part of a new regeneration at Walkden Railway Station. Boosting sustainable travel access for Walkden residents, the new cycle hub has been commissioned by Salford City Council to help combat congestion, provide dedicated off-street parking and provide greater cycling accessibility to and from the station. The 12m x 4.5m bespoke shelter is based on the UK’s most popular cycle hub design - the FalcoHub and features secure cycle parking for up to 32 bikes, utilising traditional Sheffield cycle stands. The steelwork of the roof has been powder coated in a ‘Traffic Blue’ RAL colour, whilst the rest of the steelwork has been powder coated in a seperate ‘Squirrel Grey’ RAL colour. LED lighting with a occupancy sensor has been fitted to the roof alongside bespoke branding graphics which have been applied to the toughened safety glass cladding. The new cycle hub makes use of the FalcoSmart app-based locking system, which uses Bluetooth technology to activate the locking mechanism from the users smart phone or tablet, with the benefit that they no longer need to carry keys or fobs. Cyclists are able to apply for access to the hub via the Council and having downloaded the ‘App’ are given access rights to the cycle hub for a period of time depending on their subscription. The system has a fully automated back office enabling the administrator to register new locks for new cycle stores as well as adding new users and creating groups and assigning rights. A huge benefit to the local authority is that they are able for the first time ever to assess usage of a cycle parking facility, directly from the back-office app information. The cycle hub was developed by Falco’s in house design team to ensure it met the client’s specification including structural calculations to meet the EN 1090 CPR requirements of UK law. Hackney Central Overground Station Cycle Hub

Hackney Central Overground Station Receives Bespoke Falco Cycle Hub with Secure Mobile App Access

This is the new sleek and inconspicuous cycle hub recently designed, manufactured, supplied and installed by Falco at Hackney Central Overground Station. Greeting commuters to the west of the station, the 10m cycle hub has been fitted with a combination of both reinforced safety glass and sustainable hardwood cladding. A series of 48 spaces of the FalcoLevel-Premium+ two-tier cycle rack have been installed along with a FalcoFix 2.0 cycle repair station, LED lighting, CCTV security, branding graphics, a green sedum roof and secure mobile app access. Falco also installed five separate TfL London cycle stands located outside of the cycle hub. The green sedum roof, an increasingly popular feature for Falco shelters, supports the operators sustainable development plan by providing the many advantages associated with green roof systems as well as insulation for both heat and noise. A sedum roof both reduces water discharge as well as compensating for CO2 emissions. The FalcoSmart mobile app access system uses Bluetooth technology to provide Hackney commuters with secure access to the cycle hub using their own smartphone or tablet, removing the need for physical keys and fobs. Commuters are able to apply for access to the hub via Falco and having downloaded the ‘App’ are given access rights to the cycle hub for a period of time depending on their subscription. Anson House Westminster Cycle Hub

Anson House Residential Apartments in Westminster Receives Falco Cycle Hub

Falco recently took to the design, manufacture, supply and installation of a bespoke cycle hub based on the traditional FalcoLok-500 design. Installed at Anson House, south Westminster, in view of the River Thames, the new cycle hub has been coupled with the FalcoVert-Pro cycle rack to provide secure accommodate for up to 24 bikes. Installed on behalf of Westminster City Council, the new cycle hub features electrogalvanised perforated sheet cladding, powder coated in a Jet Black RAL colour, along with a secure access system. The whole shelter is a bespoke contemporary design of the classic FalcoLok-500 shelter, which features clean lines through the glass cladding and supported by stainless steel glass clamps. The steelwork is hot dip galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461 and also meets UK structural design laws with EN 1090 accreditation. Rainwater is collected via innovative integral gutters as part of the roof system and a bespoke bund ensure that the cycle hub is weather proof! The cycle hub was commisioned to help reduce congestion and provide greater cycling accessibility for residents of Anson House. The FalcoVert-Pro as shown here at Anson House, is a space saving cycle rack design ideal for highly popular densities such as stations, cycle hubs, shopping centres, high streets and car parks etc. Bicycles are parked semi vertically with both front and rear wheels located in a custom designed trough. Bath and North East Somerset Council is the Latest Local Authority to Receive FalcoPod Bike Hangars

Bath and North East Somerset Council is the latest local authority to receive a network of the UK’s most user-friendly bike hangar design - the FalcoPod. Falco manufactured, supplied and installed four units complete with both smart app electronic access and manual key access to three residential areas across the borough. The FalcoPods were installed this winter as part of a two-year trial to provide secure, on-street cycle parking facilities for residents who don’t have access to private cycle parking, such as a garage or shed. The bike hangars provide secure lockable storage for 24 bikes and are located across the north of Bath on New King Street, Sydney Buildings and Great Stanhope Street. Each mobile app bike hangar and mobile app cycle hub provides Bath residents with quick and easy accessibility via the users smartphone. The user registers for a place through the Falco Rentals website,  downloads the app, is granted accessibility via the back office and then can access their chosen hangar within minutes. For users without a smartphone, a physical key can be supplied instead. As well as manufacture and installation, Falco is also providing a fully managed service with both app and key rental management for the residents and bike hangar maintenance on behalf of Bath and North East Somerset Council Highways and Infrastructure team. The Falco Rentals website enables Bath residents to look for free spaces in the bike hangar network, book an available space and pay online, all in one place. The Falco Rentals website also provides a useful video along with other ideas and tips on safely looking after a bike. Oxford Brookes University Cycle Parking

Oxford Brookes University Receives Falco Cycle Parking Infrastructure

Falco has completed the design, manufacture, supply and installation of new cycle parking infrastructure at Oxford Brookes University. Installed this winter, the new facility comprises 72 spaces of the UK’s leading two-tier cycle parking system – the FalcoLevel-Premium+ combined with the open and spacious FalcoRail double-sided cycle canopy. Two key products of the scheme here at Oxford Brookes University, are the tried and tested Falco Level Premium + two-tier cycle parking system and the Falco Rail cycle canopy, which When combined together, create the ultimate cycle park - providing cyclists with high levels of cycle security in a spacious contemporary canopy design. Each 4m bay of double-sided FalcoRail cycle canopy features cycle parking for up to 36 bikes utilising double-sided two-tier racks. The double-sided nature of both the cycle canopy and cycle racks provides a maximum number of cycle spaces whilst occupying a minimum of floor space. The new facility, with everything a cyclist will need in order to visit the university by bike, has been installed next to the main reception, adjacent to the car park. Oxford Brookes is a four campus public university with over 16,000 students and three main campuses located in Oxford and a fourth in Swindon.
