Falco is pleased to continue its work with Shrewsbury Town Council following the procurement of a further five secure FalcoPod Bike Hangars, which will be operated through the ParkmyBike app.
The latest order builds on the successful roll-out of the Shrewsbury Moves branded cycle hangars already installed across the town centre, which have helped provide residents with convenient, secure and weather-protected cycle parking in key locations.
Locations for the additional five FalcoPod Bike Hangars are currently being secured, with installation planned for later in 2026. Once in place, the new units will further expand Shrewsbury’s growing network of secure residential and town centre cycle parking, helping to make cycling a more practical option for everyday journeys.
Each FalcoPod Bike Hangar provides secure storage for up to six bicycles within a compact footprint, making it ideal for town centres, residential streets and locations where private cycle storage may be limited. The units are designed to protect bicycles from theft, vandalism and the weather, offering users greater confidence when choosing to travel by bike.
Operated and managed through Falco’s integrated service—covering everything from installation to rental management and maintenance - these hangars are at the heart of efforts to encourage cycling as a viable, everyday travel option.
The continued investment in secure cycle parking reflects Shrewsbury Town Council’s commitment to encouraging active travel and supporting cleaner, healthier journeys across the town. By expanding access to high-quality bike hangars, the Council is helping to remove one of the common barriers to cycling: the lack of safe and convenient cycle storage.
