Harrow on the Hill Underground Station Receives Secure Falco Cycle Hub

This is the new bespoke cycle hub Falco recently designed, manufactured, supplied and installed this spring for Harrow on the Hill Underground Station, on behalf of the London Borough of Harrow. In response to the growing demand for secure, sustainable cycling infrastructure, the London Borough of Harrow partnered with Falco to deliver a bespoke cycle hub at Harrow on the Hill Underground Station. The installation supports the borough’s commitment to greener travel options and enhanced urban mobility. Making use of the flagship FalcoHub design, the new cycle hub has been fitted with the tried and tested FalcoLevel-Premium+ two-tier cycle rack, providing commuters with up to 40 secure cycle parking spaces. The bespoke 6m x 4.3m cycle hub has been fitted with innovative FalcoLevel-Premium+ two-tier cycle racks, six e-bike charging points, a secure access system, LED lighting, bespoke branding graphics and a green sedum roof. The front elevation features reinforced safety glass, while the remaining three sides are clad in sustainably sourced FSC-certified hardwood, combining security with aesthetic appeal. Key features of the cycle hub include: 40 cycle parking spaces using the innovative FalcoLevel-Premium+ two-tier cycle rack, optimising capacity within a compact footprint. Six dedicated e-bike charging bays, supporting the growing trend of electric cycling. A sedum green roof, promoting biodiversity and contributing to the structure’s environmental sustainability. Secure access, LED lighting, and London Borough of Harrow branding applied to the glass cladding, ensuring the hub is both user-friendly and visually integrated into the community setting. Installed in April 2025, the new cycle hub stands as a benchmark for urban cycling infrastructure. ScotRail Officially Unveils Falco Cycle Hub at Inverness Station

Falco’s cycle hub at Inverness Station has been officially unveiled by ScotRail, providing enhanced cycle parking and facilities for cyclists visiting the north east station. The new cycle hub, manufactured, supplied and installed by Falco, is delivered as part of the Scottish Government’s 2023 UCI Legacy Cycling Investment Programme, which includes 100 additional cycle spaces, along with a cycle maintenance stand to assist riders with basic repairs.  The new cycle hub is a key component of ScotRail's cycling strategy and its commitment to promoting sustainable transportation and reducing carbon emissions. By providing high-quality cycle parking facilities, ScotRail aims to encourage more people to cycle to stations, reducing reliance on cars and supporting the Scottish Government's vision for a greener, healthier Scotland. Based on the flagship FalcoLok design, the 13m x 6m glass clad cycle hub is coupled with the FalcoLevel-Premium+ two-tier cycle parking system, a FalcoFix 2.0 cycle repair station, LED lighting, a secure access system, adaptive cycle parking and wayfinding signage. Falco also supplied the provision of a concrete base. The cycle hub was developed by Falco’s in house design team to ensure it met the client’s specification including structural calculations to meet the EN 1090 CPR requirements of UK law. In addition to the Inverness installation shown here, Falco is working closely with ScotRail to roll out similar cycle parking facilities at stations across the ScotRail network, stations include Glasgow Queen Street, Fort William, Gourock, Elgin and Perth stations. This major investment in cycle parking infrastructure is expected to have a significant impact on modal shift, with more passengers opting for a sustainable, healthy, and environmentally friendly travel option. Patrick Harvie MSP, Minister for Active Travel, announced a £2million cycling legacy fund to promote and enhance cycling infrastructure and services across Scotland’s Railway. As part of the legacy fund, a bespoke secure cycle hub will be installed at both Inverness and Fort William stations. Glasgow’s Queen Street Station is the latest ScotRail Station to Receive Secure Falco Cycle Parking

Falco continues with the roll out of the next tranche of cycle parking facilities across ScotRail's franchised network of over 300 stations across Scotland. Pictured here is the latest two-tier cycle parking installation at Glasgow’s Queen Street Station. Falco manufactured, supplied and installed 54 spaces of the FalcoLevel-Premium+ two-tier cycle parking system, along with two FalcoFix 2.0 cycle repair stations and the design and construction of a DDA cycle ramp, enabling cyclists with all abilities to use the new cycle parking facility with ease. The scheme, which got underway last winter, involves the surveying of stations, proposing solutions and the manufacture, supply and installation of cycle parking systems to help implement ScotRail’s cycling strategy. In order to create a network-wide brand feel to encourage more people to cycle to stations ScotRail’s strategy is to install standard facilities throughout the network so that cyclists know exactly what to expect regardless of which station they use. The user experience will be enhanced further by Falco installing multiple way finding signs at every station so that the cyclist will be well informed to where they can use the facilities. Falco has already carried out the design, manufacture, supply and installation of secure cycle parking facilities for a wide number of stations including Conon Bridge, Muir of Ord, Keith and Insch, Huntly, Nairn, Larkhall, Lenzie and Gourock stations, with further stations to receive secure cycle parking this summer.
