Falco has successfully delivered a comprehensive cycle parking scheme for Angus Council, following a competitive tender process to support active travel across a number of primary schools within the region. The project saw Falco manufacture, supply and install secure cycle parking and shelters at five Angus Council schools, including Whitehills Primary School, Eassie Primary School and Strathmore Primary School in Forfar, Southesk Primary School in Montrose, and Burnside Primary School in Carnoustie. Installed this March, the scheme forms part of the Council’s ongoing commitment to encourage sustainable travel and improve facilities for pupils, staff and visitors. At the heart of the project is the FalcoQuarter cycle shelter, a robust and visually appealing solution designed to provide effective protection from the elements while maintaining a clean, modern aesthetic. Each shelter has been equipped with Falco Toaster cycle racks, delivering a combined total of 110 secure cycle parking spaces across the five sites. All steelwork has been powder coated in RAL 6005 Moss Green, carefully selected to complement the surrounding school environments and provide a durable, long-lasting finish. In addition to the manufacture and installation of the shelters and cycle parking, Falco also carried out the provision of concrete foundations, ensuring a stable and reliable base for each installation. This multi-site project highlights Falco’s ability to deliver fully managed cycle parking solutions for the education sector, from initial tender through to final installation. Continuing with the roll-out of cycle parking infrastructure to NHS trusts across the UK and helping the NHS to reach their net zero goals, Falco has recently designed, manufactured, supplied and installed a series of cycle parking for South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundations Trust this June. Located in Northallerton, North Yorkshire, the new facility provides secure cycle parking for up to 24 bikes and provides staff, patients and visitors with everything they might need in order to visit the hospital by bike. The use of responsibly sourced timber reinforces the Trust’s commitment to sustainability, while the robust steel structure of the FalcoZan-180 ensures long-term durability and minimal maintenance. The installation was fully managed by Falco, offering a turnkey solution that enhances the hospital’s cycling infrastructure and supports greener travel choices across the NHS estate.
