This is the new bespoke cycle hub Falco recently designed, manufactured, supplied and installed this spring for Harrow on the Hill Underground Station, on behalf of the London Borough of Harrow. In response to the growing demand for secure, sustainable cycling infrastructure, the London Borough of Harrow partnered with Falco to deliver a bespoke cycle hub at Harrow on the Hill Underground Station. The installation supports the borough’s commitment to greener travel options and enhanced urban mobility. Making use of the flagship FalcoHub design, the new cycle hub has been fitted with the tried and tested FalcoLevel-Premium+ two-tier cycle rack, providing commuters with up to 40 secure cycle parking spaces. The bespoke 6m x 4.3m cycle hub has been fitted with innovative FalcoLevel-Premium+ two-tier cycle racks, six e-bike charging points, a secure access system, LED lighting, bespoke branding graphics and a green sedum roof. The front elevation features reinforced safety glass, while the remaining three sides are clad in sustainably sourced FSC-certified hardwood, combining security with aesthetic appeal. Key features of the cycle hub include: 40 cycle parking spaces using the innovative FalcoLevel-Premium+ two-tier cycle rack, optimising capacity within a compact footprint. Six dedicated e-bike charging bays, supporting the growing trend of electric cycling. A sedum green roof, promoting biodiversity and contributing to the structure’s environmental sustainability. Secure access, LED lighting, and London Borough of Harrow branding applied to the glass cladding, ensuring the hub is both user-friendly and visually integrated into the community setting. The London Borough of Ealing is the latest local authority to receive a network of the UK’s most user-friendly bike hangar design - the FalcoPod. Falco is delighted to be working with the West London Council to roll-out their next phase of residential bike hangars, providing convenient on-street cycle parking for resident use. The London Borough of Ealing identified a significant demand for secure, reliable bike storage within the borough. Many residents do not have access to private bike storage, and this lack of secure parking has often deterred people from cycling, especially in urban areas where bike theft is a common concern. To support the uptake of cycling and improve overall sustainability, the borough decided to invest in a public bike hangar scheme to provide residents with a secure, affordable option for storing their bikes. Located at key residential areas across the Borough, Falco manufactured and installed a series of 46 FalcoPod bike hangars this month, providing six on-street cycle parking spaces per bike hangar, whilst only utilising one car parking space. Each bike hangar is powder-coated in RAL 6009 Fir Green, a colour that blends seamlessly with the local environment and enhances the visual appeal of the urban landscape. The hangars feature secure locking systems, providing peace of mind to residents and making them ideal for long-term use in public spaces. As a registered supplier of sustainable wood, all nine FalcoCrea cycle lockers have been clad in FSC® certified hardwood, designed to be sympathetic to the surrounding area. Each FalcoCrea cycle store features double doors for easy accessibility and all shelters incorporate cylinder locks for high security. The FalcoCrea has proven to be a highly popular cycle locker since its launch providing local authorities with a cycle parking solution which answers three common problems; security, spacing footprint and branding. The FalcoCrea is designed to provide maximum security, within a compact space saving design and fully capable of incorporating branding to promote cycling as a principal mode of transport. Newham University NHS Hospital has further cemented its commitment to sustainable transportation and staff wellbeing with the provision of its second Falco cycle hub – designed, manufactured, supplied and installed by Falco. Commissioned by the hospital for patient and visitor use, the cycle hub is positioned in a prominent location next to the main entrance and puts cycling at the forefront of transport innovation at the hospital. In a positive move towards greener transport and improving patient and staff wellbeing, the new cycle hub initiative is aligned with Newham University hospital's commitment to promoting sustainable and eco-friendly modes of transport among its staff, patients, and visitors. The secure cycle hub provides a safe and convenient space for cyclists to park their bikes, thereby encouraging more people to opt for cycling as a means of commuting to and from the hospital. The 11m x 4m cycle hub, powder coated in an attractive NHS blue, is based on Falco’s best-selling FalcoLok design. These are the new FalcoCargoBox secure cargo bike lockers manufactured, supplied and installed by Falco for registered charity - the Shoreditch Trust, on behalf of the London Borough of Hackney. Incorporating dazzling, eye-catching branded theme wrap designs, the two FalcoCargoBox lockers are located at the charities head office on Orsman Road, Hackney and provides users with secure accommodation for a wide variety of cycles including cargo bikes, e-cargo bikes, adaptive bikes and oversized bikes. The specially designed FalcoCargoBox lockers are fitted with the FalcoSmart locking-app, enabling users to operate the cargo hangar with their smartphone, omitting the need for physical keys, fobs or swipe cards.
