Case Studies
Falco was commissioned to design, manufacture, supply and install a comprehensive external infrastructure package across Units 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 at the Symmetry Park logistics development. The scope included both high-capacity cycle parking, covered bin store solutions and bespoke plant enclosures tailored to serve the multiple occupiers and reflect the premium, sustainable specification of the estate. With the logistics park being a leading-edge, high-profile development, there was a clear requirement for external structures that were not only functional and durable, but also matched the architectural and sustainability ambitions of Tritax Symmetry. The site demanded assets that would perform over the long term, require minimal maintenance, and visually tie into the development’s industrial aesthetic and green credentials. Falco installed the flagship FalcoQuarter cycle shelter at each of the five units, giving each occupier dedicated, weather-protected cycle parking. In parallel, a robust FalcoLok-250 bin store covered system was installed at each location to consolidate waste and recycling facilities in one discreet, but accessible structure. In addition Falco produced special plant enclosures in varying sizes to suit each Unit. Each installation was manufactured in galvanised steel with premium FSC® certified external cladding and installed with full fixings and anchorage designed to suit the site’s concrete hard-standing and landscaping finishes. For this scheme, Falco’s in-house design team worked closely with the client to configure the unit specifically for waste and recycling use within the busy estate. This project further strengthens Falco’s long track record of delivering high-quality storage and cycle parking solutions for some of the UK’s most significant commercial and industrial developments. Falco recently designed, manufactured, supplied and installed a robust FalcoLok-600 bin store at Tritax Symmetry Park – one of the UK’s flagship logistics and industrial park developments. The bespoke unit, measuring 6m x 4m, provides a secure and accessible waste management facility for the site’s occupiers. Finished in durable steelwork and clad in FSC®-certified hardwood slats, the bin store complements the high-quality, sustainable architecture of the wider development while ensuring long-term functionality and visual appeal. The untreated hardwood and galvanised steel combination offers little to no maintenance to the end client once the site is handed over. The modular build up of the product future proofs the installation, should the product need extending in the future. In addition, replacement parts are available at a fraction of the cost of a brand new facility should it suffer from any accidental damage. Access is provided via a wide double-door arrangement, allowing easy manoeuvring of waste containers while keeping the store secure and enclosed when not in use. The FalcoLok-600 series is one of the UK’s most versatile storage systems, available in a wide range of lengths and depths to accommodate bins, recycling facilities, bicycles, or general equipment.
