Falco has begun the roll-out of secure cycle parking across Shrewsbury Town centre, with the installation of the first phase of Shrewsbury Moves branded cycle hangars on behalf of Shrewsbury Town Council and the Shrewsbury Big Town Plan Partnership. The scheme, funded through the Government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), will see a total of 15 secure FalcoPod bike hangars installed at convenient locations across the town. The first five hangars are already in place, including sites at Fish Street, Market Hall, St Chad’s, St Julian’s and Roushill, with a further ten installations planned over the coming months. Continuing with the roll-out of cycle parking infrastructure to NHS trusts across the UK and helping the NHS to reach their net zero goals, Falco has recently designed, manufactured, supplied and installed a series of cycle parking for South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundations Trust this June. South Gloucestershire Council has taken a bold step towards smarter and more sustainable transport by rolling out a series of innovative, pay-as-you-go bike hangars—supplied, manufactured and installed by Falco. The cycle hangars are located at key public areas across the Borough, including a leisure centre, bus station, car park and shopping centre. This April, Falco manufactured, supplied and installed a new cycle parking scheme at Barnsley Interchange, the main transport hub serving the centre of Barnsley, South Yorkshire. Commissioned by Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council, the project is part of a broader initiative to promote active travel and enhance sustainable transport infrastructure across the borough. As part of the installation, Falco supplied and installed 42 two-tier cycle parking spaces using the innovative FalcoLevel-Premium+ cycle parking system, along with three Sheffield stands to provide six additional spaces designed specifically for non-standard or cargo bikes.
