Falco’s Environmentally Sound Ranges of Cycle Shelters and Street Furniture

As with all walks of life, the requirement to become more environmentally friendly has even made its impact upon the specialised cycle parking market and we are continually taking measures to decrease our carbon footprint. Therefore Falco cycle shelter and street furniture products has recently undergone many changes to support this including: the use of FSC hardwood, hot dip galvanising all steel based products, using a powder coating process to significantly increase product lifespan and limiting the use of plastic and oil based materials. Additionally, all new delivery vehicles are now equipped with Euro 5 engines as standard to keep fuel emissions to a minimum, with all deliveries within the same area being combined into one delivery.

Furthermore Falco are pleased to report that our manufacturing facilities have now passed all the requirements to become accredited to ISO 14001 Environmental Management systems! The ISO 14001 certification demonstrates that sustainability is integrated into all departments within the Falco production system and ensures that each department complies with all environmental legislation.

FSC Hardwood

Falco is now increasing the level of FSC hardwood used as its primary source of material for its continuously developing ranges of street furniture, this means that the seat's environmental credentials are fully intact. With all hardwood being sourced from sustainable forests you can be sure that a Falco bench or seating product will support your environmental plan. Additionally all shelters are available with FSC hardwood cladding on request.

As Falco continues to increase its product range, we simply aim to use material from a sustainable source in order to reduce the need to consume natural resources.
